It had been nearly 50 years since the newspaper's
editor, Bill Blauvelt sold Big Bang Canyons in the Blauvelt Fireworks
Stand but in 2018 he decided to order a supply of Bangsite and
again fire one of the canyons. In this video he tells of the
history of canyon and test fires one he has had for more than

Playing in the rain---a slide show made from black
and white negatives showing three girls playing in downtown Superior
on a rain night in the 1970s.
It was sometime in the 1970s and rain was the big news of the
week in Superior. but how to photograph it? While trying to answer
this question Bill Blauvelt heard a noise outside the office
and went to the door to investigate.. He found three girls playing
in the rain. He wrapped his camera in plastic and joined them.
